Questions and answers

The short version: PaintPal runs the job side of a painting company, next to GoHighLevel, and shows the profit on every job.

What is PaintPal?

PaintPal is ops software for painting companies. It follows each job from the incoming lead to the paid invoice: a lead inbox, jobs and scheduling, sub painter assignments and pay, before and after photos, materials and receipts, invoicing through GoHighLevel, and profit per job.

Who is PaintPal for?

Painting contractors who run their sales in GoHighLevel and send sub painters or crews to the job. It works for one location or several, with each location on its own GoHighLevel sub-account.

Do I need GoHighLevel to use PaintPal?

Yes. PaintPal works alongside GoHighLevel rather than replacing it. Leads, estimates and signatures, texting, the calendar and invoice payments stay in GoHighLevel. PaintPal reads your painting pipeline and adds the job-side work GoHighLevel does not do: sub pay, job costs, photos and profit.

Does PaintPal build estimates?

No. Detailed estimates with line items and the customer signature stay in GoHighLevel. PaintPal records the estimate value, links to the GoHighLevel estimate, and shows when it was sent and signed.

How does PaintPal calculate profit per job?

Profit = job value + upsells − sub pay − upsell and referral bonuses − materials. Tips go 100% to the sub and are never counted as revenue. Profit shows on the job, on the jobs list, and on the revenue page by month and by location.

What can sub painters see?

Only the jobs they are assigned to, their own calendar, and their own pay, bonuses and tips. They never see margins, material costs or other subs’ pay. The customer’s price is hidden from subs by default and can be shown per job.

How are sub painters paid in PaintPal?

Each sub gets a fixed dollar amount per job for labor, and several subs on one job each get their own amount. On top of that: an upsell bonus (a percentage of upsells they sold, or a manual amount), a referral bonus when the job was their referral, and 100% of tips.

Does it work on a phone at the job site?

Yes. Subs add PaintPal to their home screen and use it like an app: their jobs, their calendar, and photo uploads tagged before, during or after. When the signal drops, PaintPal says so and retries once it is back.

Can I run more than one location?

Yes. Each location connects its own GoHighLevel sub-account. You can filter by location, give team members access to some locations only, and see revenue and profit per location.

How do team members and subs get access?

By email invite. They set their own password. Adding a sub to the crew roster does not give them a login until you send the invite, and each person gets a role: owner, admin, onboarding, viewer or sub.

How much does PaintPal cost?

Pricing is not published yet. Book a demo and we will walk through PaintPal with your own setup in mind.

Who built PaintPal?

PaintPal was built with Easton Painters, a painting company in Easton, Pennsylvania, to run their own leads, crews and jobs. It is designed so other painting companies can use it too.
